Senior Software Engineer position is responsible for development of software code across all applications at Full Sail, performing code reviews, creating design documentation, and participating and managing all parts of the software development lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop solutions to business problems through software automation.
- Identify and fix software defects.
- Adhere to best-practice for software development.
Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily standups.
- Track and document solutions to software defects using change management.

Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of relational databases and database design
- Asynchronous messaging, publish/subscribe.
- Cloud computing
Education and/or Experience:
- BS in computer science or related field.
- 10+ years with java or OOP language.
- 10+ years with SQL
- 10+ years with HTML/javascript
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- N/A
Computer/Equipment Skills:
- JAVA, Spring Boot, AWS, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQS, SNS, S3, git, IntelliJ, Teamcity, JIRA.
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alphanumeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
