Senior Software Engineer

We are Unloan, a new digital lending business, backed by x15 and CommBank.

We are nominally based in CommBank’s amazing new facilities at South Eveleigh, but most of us work remotely and we have a remote-first culture.

Your Team
Our hands-on leadership team is responsible for shaping our strategy and culture and growing a successful business that achieves our mission.

Our product vision is to create the most loved digital home loan in Australia. To do this, we need great product-lead experienced engineers, supported to build a great digital product experience.

• We’re nominally based in CommBank’s amazing new facilities at South Eveleigh, but most o us work remotely and we have a remote-first culture (fully async).

• You’ll be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and will be a contributor within a growing engineering team.

You’ll Have

• Smart, driven, resilient full-stack Typescript engineer who loves delivering customer and business solutions in a collaborative, iterative and simple manner.

• TypeScript is our go-to language, and we use it across our stack, so you’ll need to be proficient at it

• Someone has used GraphQL and experience with frameworks such as ReactJS or React Native

• Experienced with infrastructure development - AWS or Azure

• Experience and knowledge of backend technology - NodeJS

• Someone who knows how to create well-tested and cleanly implemented code, that enables a DevSecOps way of shipping quickly and safely

• You love autonomy and like to take ownership of problems, see your efforts translate into outcomes that resonate with a user / customer

• You learn through sharing and reading thought leaders in your community

• You show great judgement in your decisions, great communication skills to help others understand your challenges

• Preferably, a background in CBA or similar Financial Services organisation

• Ideally, some Azure experience is desired
