Our trading and platform teams work together to realise the full potential of our systems. Our engineers build the technology that powers every trade, from the systems that connect us to global markets to the platforms and tools that drive research, execution, and risk management.
We’re looking for Engineers who love solving complex problems and want to work close to trading. That could mean sitting on a desk with traders, helping design and implement algorithms, or working in our platform teams building systems that link everything across trading, data, and markets.
The RoleWe’re expanding our Automated Trading Platform (ATP) group and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience in automated or algorithmic system development. You’ll help mature the ATP group to support company-wide initiatives and shared technology, with the flexibility to embed with specific desks when projects require dedicated focus.
Who We’re Looking For- Senior engineer who thrives in high-performance environments
- 5+ years in professional environments, ideally in a smaller company or fast-moving teams
- Pragmatic, evidence-driven, and focused on outcomes
- Enjoys working closely with users and building systems that get used
- Trading or financial systems experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Shows technical leadership through ownership, sound judgment, and lifting the capability of others.
- Strong C++ experience in performance-critical systems.
- Solid system design, architecture, and data structures knowledge
- Python experience for tooling, automation, and data workflows
- Experience in designing systems collaboratively
- Exposure to data-intensive or research-driven techniques (e.g. ML) is beneficial.
- Proven ability to drive small-to-medium initiatives independently
- Clear communicator who can explain trade-offs and decisions
- Support production systems, including troubleshooting when needed
