Senior Software Engineer

Job Description SummaryFor a newly built Appian Center of Excellence, we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to further develop and design high quality products based on Appian technology.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Building applications by translating specifications into IT solutions based on Appian,

• Participating in the domain technical and business discussions,

• Translating requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.

• Supporting process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities

• Defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment.

• Training and mentoring more junior peers.

• Collaborating with other teams and technologies’ representatives to propose efficient solutions meeting high quality standards and following best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

• Strong professional Appian experience.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of Appian (Certified Associate Developer is a must) including Design, Process Models, Interface design, Integrations, Data management, Records and Expression Rules, Performance improvement,

• Experience in designing and developing end to end solutions with a minimal supervision,

• Experience in Cloud Computing (AWS preferred),

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps model,

• Experience in working with Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle etc,

• Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architecture standards,

• Working knowledge in Integration services and Connectors like SOAP, REST,

• Experience in any other programming languages such as Java, JavaScript or BPM technologies (Pega) is a plus.

Business Acumen

• Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks.

• Experience in building software for Global Supply Chain is a plus.
