Our world class Video Management Software allows Enterprise customers to monitor all aspects of security at their sites. From integrating video analytics in Windows applications to making highly scalable cloud microservices - our engineers have opportunities to work with a very diverse and exciting range of products.
We are looking for talented engineers to grow our software engineering teams and contribute to the development of our products. We have a fantastic city center office in the heart of Edinburgh and fully embrace a hybrid home/office working model.
Job Description

The role involves:

  • Delivering high quality software in our cloud and on-premise video management system in an agile environment.

  • Contributing to, and thriving in, a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Participating in and learning from peer reviews of code and other artifacts.

  • Working closely within your own team and with others based in the US, Canada, Poland and worldwide.

  • Mentoring and coaching other engineers in your team.

  • Helping to shape the technical direction for future projects.

  • Refining requirements and generating innovative ideas.

You will be working with modern technologies including:

  • C#, C++ and other languages.

  • Azure Cloud technologies.

  • Containerisation such as Docker/Kubernetes and microservice architectures.

  • Frontend frameworks such as React.

  • Database technologies such as CosmosDB.

  • Test automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium.

  • Common API technologies such as REST/HTTP, WebSocket, SignalR.

  • Video streaming technologies such as RTSP, WebRTC.

  • GitHub.

  • CI/CD.


Basic Requirements

To apply you must have:

  • Strong skills in at least one object-oriented language (C# or C++ preferred, but will consider others such as Java).

  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience as a Software Engineer.

  • Be able to demonstrate strong software development fundamentals, including test automation.

  • A passion for owning, building and delivering great software for end-users.
