Responsibilities

  • Build and run Autodesk Platform Services

  • Write code that is tested, readable, and maintainable

  • Engage in technical discussion and decision making to shape the future of making things

  • Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, understand use cases and build towards a cohesive technical strategy

  • Mentor and empower engineers around you


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Experience as a technical leader and mentor

  • Excellent hands-on Java programming skills

  • Strong experience designing and implementing high quality REST APIs

  • Strong experience building apps on AWS using services such as S3, DynamoDB, IAM, EC2, Kinesis and Lambda

  • Strong experience with NoSQL databases


Preferred Qualifications

  • Implemented and operated one or more high scale APIs that handles at least 25k RPS

  • Experience with object oriented design patterns

  • Experience with continuous refactoring

  • Experience with agile software development practices

  • Experience with Spring boot

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, Node.js, or Bash

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Experience with CI/CD concepts and working with a deployment pipeline such as Jenkins

  • Expereince with Apache Beam, Apache Spark, Apache Flink

  • Experience with Kafka/Kinesis

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
