We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer and Data Architect to help build a best in class enterprise web application that enables our customers to manage, analyze, report on, and collaborate around biotherapeutic mass spec data in one environment.

- Drive innovative, modular, and scalable design and development of scientific software and data science applications.
- Lead the design and implementation of holistic data analytics software solutions, including database and server architecture.
- Drive the creation of intuitive data analysis and visualization functionalities with seamless UI/UX to optimize adoption.
- Lead projects, mentor other engineers, and provide technical guidance and feedback on implementation design and coding.
- Organize design reviews to obtain stakeholder consensus and approval.
- Perform full-stack solution design and hands-on coding.
- Ensure high code quality through automated and rigorous unit tests, code reviews, and adhering to coding standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint planning, Backlog grooming, and routine stand-ups.
- Create and update technical specifications and design documentation.
- Be knowledgeable of and apply industry best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams, Product Strategy, Sales, and contractors across the globe to ensure high-quality product delivery and maintenance for PMI customers.
people who have 5+ years of experience developing web-based software applications, with a Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field or extensive software development experience.
- React, JavaScript, CSS
- Server and backend architecture and development (NodeJS, database design, scalability, robustness).
- Cloud-based software development and architecture experience (primarily AWS).
- Experience with object-oriented design and programming.
- Data Science and Machine Learning
- Agile software development
- Relevant domain experience in mass spectrometry, or a scientific field such as proteomics, genomics, biology, or biochemistry is nice to have.
