Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic product team, focusing on developing new integrations for our PIM system to enhance product information management within our ecosystem. For example, you will work on aggregating and integrating reviews from platforms like Bazaarvoice, linking them to PIM product data, optimizing the information, and providing actionable insights on product return rates. You'll ensure scalable synchronization of product data across various e-commerce solutions, including Shopify. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance the product experience.
You'll report to the Engineering Manager covering that product line. You'll interact globally with engineers, product managers, designers, and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Crafting: Build & ship high-quality code that delivers value to our users, on our Shopify App, on Shared Catalogs or on new Apps
- Software design: You will build new architecture for highly scalable Apps or you'll revise existing ones to make them more performant.
- Client-focus: You'll work with our customers & partners to solve real-life problems and have business impact
- Decision-making: You can bring alignment around innovative ideas to optimize technical processes and build the best products.
- Mentoring: Provide mentorship to engineers, enhancing their skills and career growth through hands-on guidance and collaborative team learning.
Qualifications
We are looking for a pragmatic and product-driven engineer with 8+ years of experience in the development of web applications. Our own stack consists of PHP/Go in Clean Architecture on the back end and Typescript + React on the front end, deployed on GCP.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality products to production, taking personal responsibility for end-to-end delivery of features and components.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles with experience in designing and implementing complex engineering solutions.
- Experience working on pre-market-fit products with rapid iteration cycles.
- Ability to handle uncertainties and collaborate effectively with product managers to clarify needs and deliver the right solutions.
- Familiarity with PIM systems and e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of product data standards and best practices in e-commerce, with experience in review aggregation platforms like Bazaarvoice or Shopify being a plus.
