Overview:
The Engineering team is looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to help drive quality engineering excellence through automation, continuous testing, and performance validation. The ideal candidate is passionate about software quality, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment.
This role will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks, validating complex enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, and batch processes, and ensuring high-quality releases through robust test automation and performance engineering practices. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Architects, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that enhance the customer experience.
Role:
In this role, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, microservices, and batch processing applications.
Create and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Develop automation solutions using BDD, Data-Driven, Hybrid, and Page Object Model frameworks.
Perform API, UI, microservices, batch, and performance testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, identify quality risks, troubleshoot defects, and drive resolution.
Analyze test results, quality metrics, and performance bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate for this position should:
Have advanced expertise in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML, with strong software development and automation engineering skills.
Possess hands-on experience designing and implementing automation frameworks using BDD (Cucumber/JBehave), Data-Driven, Hybrid, and Page Object Model approaches.
Demonstrate strong experience in API, UI, microservices, batch, and integration testing using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Rest Assured, Postman, Insomnia, TestNG, and JUnit.
Have advanced knowledge of CI/CD and software development tools including Maven, Node.js, Spring Framework, Git, Jenkins DSL, Swagger, Splunk, Apache NiFi, Unix/Linux, and JPA.
Be proficient in backend testing and data validation using Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
Have practical experience conducting performance, load, and scalability testing using JMeter, BlazeMeter, or LoadRunner.
Be skilled at root cause analysis, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and improving overall test effectiveness and automation coverage.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and business teams.
Possess a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
