About the role:  

You will work with cutting-edge technology to architect and design innovative software solutions. This role involves collaborating on requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment of projects within our suite of solutions. You will contribute to transforming how customizable products and spaces are imagined, designed, sold, managed, and made—serving industries such as Kitchen & Bath, Furniture, Window, Glass & Door, and Flooring worldwide. 

 Accounting & Domain Expertise

• Serve as the subject matter expert for accounting workflows and financial processes.
• Interpret and implement accounting requirements related to:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Financial Consolidations
  • Month-End and Year-End Close
  • Work In Progress Accounting
• Ensure software solutions align with US GAAP principles and industry-standard accounting practices.
• Collaborate with accountants, business analysts, and product managers to define accounting requirements.
• Review financial calculations, reports, and accounting logic embedded within applications.
• Work in Progress (WIP) accounting, including how WIP relates to job costing, revenue recognition, costs, billing, and financial reporting.

 Software Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications focused on accounting and finance domains.
• Translate accounting and taxation requirements into technical specifications and software features.
• Develop scalable APIs, services, and business logic supporting financial transactions and reporting.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to software engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex accounting-related system issues and propose effective solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.

  Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with product teams to define feature roadmaps for accounting software products.
• Assist QA teams in creating accounting-focused test scenarios and validation frameworks.
• Support customer implementations and provide guidance on accounting configurations when needed.
• Mentor junior developers on accounting concepts and domain-specific business rules.

Essential Skills – apply only if you possess: 

Accounting

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong understanding of:
  • US GAAP
  • Financial Statements
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Financial Reporting
  • General Ledger Accounting
  • Month-End Close Processes
  • Work In Progress Accounting
• Experience working in accounting, auditing, tax, or financial systems environments.

Technical

• 8-10 years of software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in the following:
  • C#
  • .NET
  • PHP
• Experience developing web applications and APIs.
• Strong understanding of:
  • SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar databases
  • Object-Oriented Design
  • Software Design Patterns
  • REST APIs
  • Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS)
  • Client side scripting (Javascript, HTML, Angular JS)
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Our ideal candidate profile:  

• Experience developing accounting, tax, payroll, or financial management software.
• A desirable business process or ERP knowledge area
• Knowledge of US Federal and State Taxation.
• Experience integrating with third-party accounting platforms
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and automation technologies.
• Understanding of financial data analytics and reporting platforms.
• Knowledge on ERP systems would be advantageous (NetSuite, Sage, Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle Financials)
