Senior Software Engineer

Say hello to opportunities.

If you’re looking to be part of what’s next in communication, you’re in the right place.

At RingCentral, we believe the best customer experiences happen when humans and AI work together. Our agentic voice AI portfolio—AIR, AVA, and ACE—brings together automation, assistance, and insights across the entire conversation lifecycle. The result? More seamless, intelligent experiences for businesses everywhere.

With $2.5B+ in ARR and $250M invested in R&D annually, we’re building the future of AI-powered business communications.

This is where you and your skills come in. We’re currently looking for:

The Engineering department within RingCentral's Professional Services Delivery team is responsible for executing the technical implementation, configuration, and deep integration of RingCentral's solutions for customers across all segments.

This team acts as the technical engine of the delivery process. They bridge the gap between the initial sale and the final launch, turning high-level business requirements into fully functional, customized technical architectures (such as AI-powered Unified Communications and Contact Center environments).

As a Senior Software Engineer, you play a role in the architectural planning and advanced functionality of our contact center solutions, driving implementation of RingCX and RingCentral Contact Center (RCCC) functionality for high-end enterprise call centers. Beyond configuration, you provide technical architecture leadership — analysis, design, and enhancement — helping complex customers transition successfully and maximize ROI

Job Responsibilities:

  • System Build & Implementation: Manage end-to-end technical builds for RingCX and RCCC projects, including Studio logic configuration, IVR/ACD routing, predictive dialer setup, SIP/analog gateway configuration, and network/QoS verification.

  • Architecture & Data Modeling: Own database design and CRM data modeling for complex deployments, including managing changes to existing CRM applications.

  • Integrations & Automation: Map complex data models and build system-to-system connectivity using RingCentral's REST APIs, webhooks, and SDKs; use iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, Zapier, Make) to orchestrate data sync across CRM/helpdesk platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, ServiceNow, Zendesk).

  • Testing & Validation: Run UAT and end-to-end testing to confirm custom architecture, call flows, and failover routing meet business requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and customer IT teams through design reviews to keep technical requirements aligned.

  • Troubleshooting: Serve as a senior technical resource during rollout and hypercare, resolving complex issues such as API limits, WebRTC/network quality problems, and CRM integration bugs.

  • Technical Consulting: Assess complex solution architectures against customer requirements and recommend design changes that improve platform value and adoption; contribute to client information management standards.

  • Account Growth Support: Identify opportunities to expand a customer's use of the platform and flag them to the account team during the project lifecycle.

  • Documentation: Produce technical documentation including LLDs, BRDs, call flow maps, and UAT sign-off agreements.

  • Project Delivery: Manage multiple concurrent enterprise deployments, operating with minimal oversight.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on new RingCentral and AI capabilities relevant to delivery projects.

To succeed in this role you must have experience in:

Success in this Level II role means providing technical leadership on complex, high-value engagements — from architecture design through implementation — that result in scalable, well-adopted solutions. A successful senior engineer is recognized internally and externally as a trusted subject matter expert, known for reliable delivery and strong client relationships.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. 3 to 6 years of experience in a Professional Services Implementation role is required, including demonstrated ownership of complex or enterprise-scale engagements, with hands-on experience in the UCaaS and CCaaS industry.

  • Technical Competence: Advanced expertise in one or more core disciplines — UCaaS, CCaaS, Network Readiness, or Cloud software — with a strong architectural background in industry-leading contact center platforms (e.g., RingCX, NICE CXone/InContact Studio, Five9, Genesys).

  • Core Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of C#, C++, SIP/WebRTC networking, RESTful APIs, webhooks, QM/WFM/WEM, Cloud PBX, predictive dialers, ACD, CTI, VoIP, and advanced IVR logic; strong knowledge of Internet protocols, QoS, and hosted cloud ecosystems.

  • Front-End Scripting: Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS — enough to read, adapt, and troubleshoot scripts and templates used in contact center configurations.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills, including the ability to resolve complex technical problems using tools like the RingCentral QoS Analytics portal or trace logs.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills (English minimum) and effective customer-facing presentation skills, including with executive stakeholders.

  • Work Environment: Willingness to work a schedule that supports customers across global time zones; ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced delivery environment.

  • Desired Qualifications: Active contact center platform certifications, and experience integrating RingCentral with CRM, ITSM, or Lead Management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot, NetSuite, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Zoho, Freshdesk, Freshservice).

What we offer:

  • Comprehensive HMO package (medical and dental)

  • Personal Time Off Leaves

  • Quarterly Performance Bonus

  • Employee Assistance and Wellness Programs
