Primary Responsibilities:
- The Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and modernizing backend services and DevOps pipelines, with a strong focus on automation, cloud-native practices, and enterprise compliance
- Core Development & Delivery
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs using modern frameworks
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, and deployment in an Agile environment
- Deliver consistent sprint commitments (story-based execution) and ensure high-quality code through reviews and testing
- CI/CD & DevOps Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Manage artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory and ensure proper versioning and traceability
- Infrastructure as Code & Deployment Automation
- Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) for scalable and controlled deployments.
- Integrate applications with enterprise deployment platforms
- Containerization & Platform Engineering
- Build and optimize Docker images, including implementing multi-stage builds for performance, security, and compatibility
- Deploy and troubleshoot applications on container platforms such as Kubernetes
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent certification
- 3+ years of experience in Java backend development with strong coding fundamentals
- Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline development, particularly with GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Experience working with Docker and containerized applications
- Experience with Git-based version control systems
- Working knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience troubleshooting production incidents and supporting releases
- Knowledge of enterprise artifact management tools (JFrog Artifactory)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure)
- Proven exposure to DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools
Technical Skills
- Programming: Java (Spring Boot preferred)
- DevOps: GitHub Actions automation workflows
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
- IaC: Terraform
- Tools: Git, JFrog, Splunk (or monitoring tools)
- Scripting: Bash / Shell / Python (nice to have)
