As a Senior Mobile Back-End Developer, you’ll be responsible for guiding and leading the architecture, delivery and development of the software systems that power our business unit. A hands-on, highly skilled software developer with the experience to dive into code to deliver high quality, well-designed software. You will share responsibility for the quality of the software being built, including but not limited to; achieving desired business outcomes, meeting reliability and performance expectations and safely managing security and data privacy concerns.
You’ll have:
- 6+ years’ in a hands-on Software Engineering role
- Extensive experience in designing and building backend APIs
- experience across Kotlin (or Java), Spring Boot, AWS, Git, CI/CD, observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog and Splunk
- A real passion for quality, clean code and continuous improvement
- A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design
- Highly dedicated ethos - expected to take very real accountability for the work you're doing
- Demonstrable ability to motivate self and others, and a passion to mentor junior developers
- Experience working with technical and non-technical partners, with the capability to influence
- A test and learn mindset with curiosity, collaboration and care
- Confidence with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
- Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code
- Experience with server-driven architectures will be well regarded
