About The Job:
As a Web Analytics Engineer, you will be part of the Platform Analytics team, partnering with multiple cross-functional teams to support and extend Adobe Marketing Cloud technology across our global marketing programs. In this role, you will help deploy and maintain scalable combinations of process, and technology to ensure best practices in data quality, data availability, data privacy compliance, digital analytics implementations and tag management.
This is a fast-paced environment where you will manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with stakeholders across the company. To thrive here, you should be eager to stay up to date on industry and technology trends, write detailed technical documentation, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously enhance our marketing infrastructure.
What you will do:Tag Management & Integration: Implement and perform quality assurance (QA) of various integrations within Adobe Launch (including Google Ads, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
Validation & Auditing: Perform rigorous validation of all code and tagging activities across both preproduction and production environments. Audit digital tags regularly to ensure accurate, efficient implementation and data integrity.
Data Architecture: Determine the most effective, time-efficient, and cost-efficient methods for capturing data elements in web development using an events-driven data layer.
Data Quality & Governance: Develop a data quality metrics framework, including dashboards, scorecards, and monitoring systems (alerts and triggers). Establish procedures, policies, and internal controls for detecting and correcting data quality issues.
Data Stewardship: Serve as the subject matter expert and digital analytics data steward. Educate and support data end-users, explaining complex analytics implementations while ensuring data accessibility and quality.
Compliance: Partner with site leads to maintain quarterly cookie scans, ensuring tags fire strictly based on their designated buckets for cookie consent compliance.
Strategy & Documentation: Support a multi-domain web personalization team and overall optimization strategy, maintain a multi-year roadmap, and manage a prioritized backlog of work.
Technical Authoring: Maintain the Solution Design Reference (SDR) and develop detailed technical documentation, including user stories, data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, user guides, test cases, and internal blog posts.
Technical Expertise: Strong experience working with Adobe Marketing Cloud technology (specifically Adobe Launch/Data Collection) and maintaining a Solution Design Reference (SDR). Knowledge of Javascript is required.
Data Layer Knowledge: Solid understanding of web development data capture, specifically utilizing an events-driven data layer.
QA & Testing Skills: Proven track record of validating code, tag auditing, and troubleshooting analytics implementations across preproduction and production environments.
Privacy & Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with global data privacy laws, cookie consent compliance management, and executing cookie scans.
Documentation & Communication: Exceptional ability to write detailed technical documentation (e.g., data flow diagrams, user stories, test cases) and translate complex analytics concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience building data quality metrics frameworks from scratch, including automated alerts, triggers, and data health scorecards.
Direct experience supporting multi-domain web personalization and optimization conversion strategies.
Experience writing internal technical blog posts, enablement guides, or training materials to foster data-driven awareness across an organization.
Previous experience working within global, enterprise-level marketing environments.
Understanding of Typescript, CI/CD and Git.
