The Role
Fidelity is looking for a best in class Senior Software Engineer to collaborate and deliver the top quality scalable systems solutions. You will serve as a technical individual contributor, working closely with the Tech Lead, Product Owners, and Architects to define and implement technical strategies and design solutions. This role requires strong hands-on development experience and active collaboration with fellow developers to deliver high-quality features aligned with business goals.
Your contributions will include designing and building scalable solutions that follow architectural blueprints and best practices, solving complex technical challenges in partnership with Tech Leads and Architects, and promoting coding standards across the team. You will also apply your business and technical expertise to translate divisional initiatives into effective software applications, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve development processes, standards, and strategies.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
5+ years of hands on technical experience including API Design and development of multi-layer architecture using Java/J2EE solutions and Spring framework.
Expertise in GIT and branching strategies
Hands-on exposure in resolving technical roadblocks involving multiple technologies
Ensuring the effectiveness of code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing completeness
Experience coordinating the delivery of technical components across internal/external technical teams
Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives aimed at maximizing velocity
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology, Information Systems
Ideal candidates would have prior experience collaborating with DevOps engineering to implement continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins and uDeploy tools; analyzing code quality issues using Sonar; implementing application resiliency procedures using HP Operations Orchestration; and process management using HP Service Manager and ServiceNow
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
