Senior Backend Engineer for WhatsApp Messaging Platform | REMOTE (Europe)

As a Senior Backend Engineer for Messaging Platform, you will be responsible for creating high quality software to not only enable real time communication of our clients but also allow the analysis and feature extraction of relevant data from the messaging stream. This offers interesting technological challenges, as well as the opportunity to work with excellent teammates from all around the globe and with the latest technologies available on the market.

Required:

• Python (advanced / expert)
• Go (advanced)
• Good communication skills
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Understanding of scaling systems and serverless workloads

Preferred:

• Experience with GCP - especially CloudRun, PubSub, and Google Kubernetes Engine
• Experience with FastAPI
• Prior experience in start-ups

Bonus points for:

• Experience with building HTTP proxies / middlewares
• Experience with high-load networking applications deployed in serverless (especially CloudRun)
• Extra languages are always welcome!
