The Dealerware team is adding a Senior Software Engineer - Vehicle Telematics. We’re looking for someone who has professional experience with telematics, is comfortable working with cloud platforms, knows the ins and outs of telematics frameworks and libraries, and wants to master new technologies.
As a Senior Software Engineer - Vehicle Telematics, you will:
- Develop and maintain robust telematics solutions for vehicle health and monitoring systems.
- Be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team to iterate and deliver on new product increments.
- Create and maintain scalable infrastructure leveraging modern cloud platforms.
- Integrate telematics data with our existing fleet management platform.
- Write tests and documentation as you implement features with your team.
- Maintain expertise in current and emerging telematics technologies and tools.

Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional work experience in vehicle telematics and related technologies.
- Extensive experience in developing high-performing, scalable, and resilient telematics solutions.
- 5+ years of professional work experience with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Ruby, Node.js).
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
- Experience integrating telematics data with web and mobile applications.
- Solid understanding of core web and browser concepts.
- Lead key team initiatives from start to finish by managing the entire development lifecycle, including defining requirements, architecting solutions, and managing ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
- Expert understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Knowledge of using advanced SQL/MySQL queries.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
