Job Summary:
The Red Hat Trusted Profile Analyzer team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. Trusted Profile Analyzer (RHTPA) is a part of Red Hat Trusted Software Supply Chain portfolio of products that is a collection of Red Hat solutions that help organizations build security into the cloud-native application lifecycle. It includes Red Hat Developer Hub, Red Hat Trusted Artifact Signer, and Red Hat Trusted Profile Analyzer - bundled together as Red Hat Advanced Developer Suite.
In this role, you will join a large team of highly skilled Software Engineers and Software Quality Engineers who are responsible for the development, testing and support of Red Hat’s Trusted Profile Analyzer product.
What You Will Do:
Design, implement and test new product features. These features, driven primarily by business unit and customer requests, will include, but not be limited to, agentic AI workflows, autonomous agent capabilities that support multi-agent orchestration and task automation.
Investigate, diagnose and fix bugs and software vulnerabilities.
Be responsible for the quality of our offerings, participate in peer code reviews and continuous integration (CI), and respond to security threats.
Work with the Quality Engineering (QE) team members to ensure that projects are thoroughly tested in accordance with the testing strategy to ensure the product satisfies the release readiness criteria.
Collaborate actively with all of our partner teams including the Engineering, Quality Engineering (QE), Documentation, Product Management, Support, Product Security, Software Productization and UXD teams to continually improve our product, processes and customer experience.
Work with Red Hat's Global Customer Support team and partner support teams on resolving customer issues.
Build Secure Supply Chain domain knowledge particularly with respect to Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and vulnerability management.
Support internal RHTPA services managed via Site Reliability Engineering.
Contribute to our efforts to energize and build a community around the upstream projects.
Publicize the team's work through blogs, web postings, or conference talks.
What You Will Bring:
Advanced experience developing applications in Rust.
Knowledge of recent AI developments in software engineering, including AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor), MCP and AI automation workflows.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or similar
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong analysis, design, problem solving and debugging skills.
Experience with a container ecosystem like Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift.
Self-directed with the ability to make strategic recommendations and influence product direction
Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and guide team members
Comfortable delivering complex projects independently with minimal oversight
The following are considered a plus:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Experience with open source development.
Experience with microservices architectures and concepts including scale, APIs, versioning, monitoring, etc.
Experience with cloud development.
Experience with AWS services
Experience with ReactJS
