Overview:
Senior Software Engineer - Automation Testing with Java (6-9 years experience) focused on building and scaling automation solutions for Java and cloud-native applications, data pipelines, functional testing, load testing, and cross-program validation.• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks, with technical ownership for major initiatives and alignment to enterprise architecture standards.• Drive automation-first testing practices by identifying high-ROI test scenarios, reducing manual testing effort, and ensuring end-to-end functionality is validated across releases.• Develop and execute test strategies for functional, regression, integration, ETL, API, performance, security, chaos, and cloud-native application testing.• Apply strong technical expertise in Java, SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, Python, Hadoop/Spark, CI/CD tools, Jenkins, code scanning tools, branching strategies, and test automation frameworks.• Collaborate closely with architects, software engineers, testing teams, product owners, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.• Translate solution designs into reliable, scalable, and cost-effective software solutions while ensuring adherence to Mastercard reference architectures and engineering standards.• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold engineering best practices with a strong focus on code quality, reliability, and maintainability.• Leverage monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk to support production readiness, issue analysis, and continuous improvement.• Support production operations, on-call rotations, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement to improve application stability and resilience.• Mentor junior engineers, lead knowledge-sharing initiatives, and contribute to technical capability-building within the Java / Backend Engineering Guild.• Demonstrate strong leadership, technical acumen, problem-solving skills, communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic Agile environment.• Promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, continuous learning, engineering excellence, and automation-led delivery.
Nice to Have• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).• Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka, messaging systems).• Understanding of security best practices, including OWASP, authentication, and authorization.• Experience in high-throughput, low-latency, or regulated systems (payments, banking, fintech).• Exposure to performance tuning, resiliency patterns, and fault-tolerant design.

- 7+ years of experience in Software Testing
- Expertise in testing methods, standards, and automation
- Experience in testing ETL processes and automation frameworks
- Knowledge of Python, Java, SQLs, APIs, and DevOps practices
