So, what’s the role all about?

The Software Engineer in Test designs, develops, tests, and maintains the NiCE software platform. This role involves working across all tiers of the NiCE technology, including designing and developing tests for NiCE CXone products and features, performing manual testing to validate functionality, usability, and quality, conducting functional and load testing, and participating in code reviews. The engineer is responsible for resolving test defects encountered during the QA cycle, supporting production environments, and collaborating with other software engineers in a team environment that utilizes agile development processes.

The Product Success team is dedicated to delivering innovative applications that drive operational excellence across our suite for partners, customers, and internal teams. These solutions streamline and automate processes, empower customers with actionable insights, and enable scalability to support the growth and performance of the suite.

A key focus is providing customers and partners with clear visibility into the overall health of their contact center operations. This capability is especially critical for large organizations transitioning from on-premises contact centers to the cloud, where continuous monitoring becomes an essential component of their operational workflows and decision-making processes.

By combining automation, transparency, and scalability, the Product Success team ensures that our ecosystem operates at peak efficiency while meeting the evolving needs of modern contact center environments.


How will you make an impact?

  • Work on writing automated tests for your team
  • Work on writing manual tests for your team
  • Check for Customer Found Bugs      
  •  Investigate failures               
  •  Write applicable bugs for failures         
  •  Fix false failures (refactor test)
  • Check the status of daily or pipeline automation test executions
    Check on all bugs assigned to you
  • Attend and contribute to the team's meetings and ceremonies (stand-up, stories grooming, planning, retrospectives.
  • Understanding database principles and using SQL to query data
  • Understanding AWS technologies

Have you got what it takes?

  • Knowledge of quality practices and policies
  • 4+ years of experience in software development and automation
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright
  • Experience with manual testing, High Level Test Plans
  • Proficient in Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation
  • Experience writing SQL statements
  • Thorough understanding of the following types of testing: Functional, Usability, Load, Stress, Unit, Component, Integration, Data validation, Performance, Automated testing, Acceptance, End to End, and Regression
  • Scrum methodology

Preferred experience:

  • DevOps experience
  • Experience with call server technologies
  • Cloud experience, AWS preferred
  • Experience with .NET/C# and Typescript
  • Visual Studio, or VS Code on Windows
