As a Software Engineer on the Platform Quality Team , you will play a critical role in enabling the dev team in enhancing the quality and efficiency of the Snorkel AI products. You will focus on optimizing our testing environment, refining scripts and overall testing infrastructure. Collaborating closely with software engineers, researchers, and product managers, you will identify and implement strategic improvements that boost developer velocity, fortify our test infrastructure, and streamline engineering workflows.
Main Responsibilities
- Be an integral part of daily validation of customer-impacting workflows
- Focus on optimizing our testing environment to increase test velocity and stability
- Refining scripts and and enhancing the overall testing infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with R&D, field engineers and product managers to identify and implement strategic improvements to increase quality and stability of product
- Work closely with DevOps teams to optimize test execution in CI/CD pipelines.
- Work a hybrid schedule with three days per week in our SF office or Redwood City HQ
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with writing and debugging UI automation tests - JavaScript, Playwright, Python
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like CircleCI, GitLab CI or similar, integrated with automated testing pipelines.
- Deep understanding of software release processes, deployment pipelines, and version control systems
- Able to quickly learn the workflows and perform exploratory testing
- Experience with test case management systems: Jira or TestRail
- Passion to create a better user experience by delivering high quality
- Strong communication and coding skills
- Proactive and positive attitude
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Prefer familiarity with established test case runners such as CircleCI
- Preferable: Experience working with AI/ML products
- Preferable: Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment with dynamic requirements and an emphasis on rapid iteration and release cycles
The salary range for San Francisco is $200,000.00 - $220,000.00.
