Senior Software Engineer in Test (SQL, ETL, DATA LAKE, REPORTING)

Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI) organization is looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in test to join one of the Client Reporting squads within our Data Out – Client Reporting domain tasked with modernizing the outbound reporting platform and strategy within our market leading global equity compensation platform.

The Expertise You Have

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required

• 7+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation

• Experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.

• Strong SQL skills plus Java and Python development experience

• 2+ years of Big Data, Data Lake or Data Warehouse experience is desired

• Experience with ETL Data Pipeline testing of Data Warehouse platforms; exposure to iCEDQ test tool preferred

• Experienced in Big Data Reporting Tools (OBIEE / Tableau / Power BI)

• Familiarity with business intelligence reporting platforms, such as Power BI, would be advantageous

• Playwright, Selenium knowledge good to have but not must

• Strong working knowledge of relational databases, like Oracle or Postgres, and data lake/warehouse concepts, such as Snowflake

• Knowledge of data pipeline testing will be a distinct advantage

• Ability to work effectively with product development, external teams, and management

• Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines

• ISTQB Certification (nice to have)

• Experience as Software Engineer in test automation of RESTful services (Cucumber, Junit, Selenium, RestAssured, Git, Gradle, Maven)

• Data Engineer working with the latest Big Data technologies and tools (Snowflake, Airflow, AWS, Azure)

• Expert knowledge in test automation frameworks and demonstrate proficiency, quality and passion in your coding ability

• Experience with UI and Microservices Architecture, Restful API’s, Enterprise messaging like ActiveMQ, Kafka

• Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash

You will be working with a team of business leaders and technologists focused on delivering a modern solution to Client Reporting via Automation, Continuous Integration and Test Data ecosystems. This role demands significant collaboration between members of various business and IT groups throughout the lifecycle of a typical project. As a technical associate, you will be working directly to shape our technology vision and will have a real impact on our Workplace Investing organization’s success.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
