The central part of the Data Cloud is the Marketplace which enables collaboration across geographies and cloud providers. A key part of the initiative includes developing internal applications that enrich the Marketplace and provide the end user with good starting points to create their own apps.
The App development team builds native app applications and collaborates in other internal Snowflake initiatives, helping the company in growing their apps portfolio and ease the customer adoption of native apps and marketplace. You’ll be involved with building Snowflake NativeApp features, developer tooling (VSCode, CI/CD), UI frameworks and many other aspects.
AS A TECH LEAD AND SENIOR ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
- Act as a leader for your area, drive the technical direction, influence the product roadmap and collaborate across teams and functions
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers through design, execution and delivery
- Be an advocate of high quality code, excellent designs, outstanding user experience and flawless operational health
- Help us grow the Costa Rica engineering hub
OUR IDEAL TECH LEAD ENGINEER WILL HAVE:
- 10+ years industry experience designing, building and supporting large-scale systems
- Strong fundamental computer science and programming skills, ideally in Java/Python
- Experience as a tech lead delivering customer-facing products end-to-end, collaborating across teams and functions
- Interest establishing processes and best practices around quality and velocity
- Knowledge of app marketplaces or experience building tools for developers is a plus.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors.
