- As a Senior Engineer, you will help us meet this challenge with innovative solutions that enable business agility, efficiency, and accuracy. In addition, you will excel at solving a range of complex problems, developing end-to-end features, and strengthening your domain knowledge over time.
A Typical Day:
- Build microservices, APIs to drive platform integrations across web and mobile platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build interfaces and systems that can evolve to meet critical business needs
- Build our platforms--infrastructure, applications and tools, and gain expertise in distributed systems, large compute clusters and petabyte-scale storage infrastructure
- Be part of an impactful team working on scaling distributed applications in a highly-available 24x7 environment, make architectural trade-offs applying design patterns and disciplined execution
- Work closely with Product, Pricing, Payments, Operations and other cross-functional partners as part of a globally distributed team, to define and ship impactful features.
- Partner with other engineering teams in Airbnb to serve our users holistically.
- Lead and mentor engineers — both inside and outside your immediate team — in building solutions and developing skills.
Your Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years industry experience
- Prior real-word experience and demonstrable knowledge in any of Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, Rust, C/C++/C#
- Exposure to architectural patterns of a high-scale web applications, such as well-designed APIs, data pipelines and efficient algorithms
- Experience or desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with design, product and data science partners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work well within engineering organization and cross functions.

position is completely Remote- India
