Job Description

About the Team: Servicing Platform
At Wise, the Servicing Platform team is on a mission to build the most effective way to manage risks for our customers and partners. We work to ensure that transactions and customer actions are compliant and aligned with regulatory requirements, enabling money to move without borders while staying within our risk appetite.

Our platform provides a seamless, efficient, plug-and-play risk assessment and management solution. Wise Risk teams—including AML, Fraud, and others—rely on our highly reliable and scalable Risk Engine, Feature Store, and Identity Linking solutions for real-time transaction monitoring and data analysis. We collaborate closely with software engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to continuously enhance our systems and deliver out-of-the-box solutions that strengthen fraud detection capabilities.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Extensive Experience: 6+ years of experience with Java or another JVM-based language, along with proficiency in the Spring framework and a deep understanding of JDBC and database internals.

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, distributed and concurrent systems.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Demonstrated ability to work independently, taking end-to-end ownership of customer problems and driving projects to successful outcomes.

  • Collaborative Approach: Excellent collaboration skills, working daily with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers, and other product teams.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
    Database Proficiency: Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and schema design.

  • Test-Driven Development: Commitment to writing testable, high-quality code and following best coding practices, including code reviews and open feedback.

  • Real-Time Performance: Capability to propose and implement technical solutions that optimize for both latency and throughput, enabling real-time risk assessments even under heavy transaction volumes
