Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce for Chennai location, to join our company. 

In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. Who you are:  

You are a seasoned Salesforce engineer with over a decade of hands-on development experience, capable of leading technical design and guiding teams. You thrive at the intersection of complex business requirements and elegant platform solutions, and you bring a track record of delivering enterprise-grade Salesforce applications with high standards of quality and performance. 

What you will be doing:  

• Lead the design and development of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and platform capabilities 

• Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical designs on the Salesforce platform 

• Build and maintain custom business logic using Apex Classes, Triggers, and asynchronous processing 

• Design and implement complex integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware 

• Review code, enforce development best practices, and ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability 

• Contribute to platform-level initiatives such as security controls, non-functional requirements, and CI/CD improvements 

• Support release planning, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with platform and delivery leadership 

• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis 

• Mentor and guide developers and support technical knowledge sharing 

• Ensure compliance with Salesforce security, data governance standards, and platform limits 

Required experience and skills:  

• 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience 

• Strong expertise in Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, asynchronous processing, and integrations 

• Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, and governor limits 

• Experience delivering Salesforce solutions on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Experience Cloud 

• Hands-on experience with development and DevOps tools (VS Code, Git, JIRA, Azure DevOps) 

•  Proven ability to lead technical discussions and design reviews 

Preferred Certifications 

• Salesforce Platform Developer I 

• Salesforce Platform Developer II 

• Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer 

• Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
