We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our IPfolio Software Engineering team in Barcelona. This is a hands-on role focused on developing secure, scalable enterprise software on the Salesforce platform. You will work across the full software delivery lifecycle, contribute to architecture and clean-code practices, and share your knowledge within a collaborative, cross-functional engineering community. 

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • At least 2 years of software engineering experience, including Salesforce development experience.

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing solutions using Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components in an enterprise environment.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable enterprise software following established architectural patterns and clean-code principles.

  • At least 2 years of experience implementing asynchronous processing solutions, including batch jobs, queueable jobs, or scheduled processes within Salesforce.

  • At least 2 years of experience working with Git-based source control and source-driven development workflows.

  • At least 2 years of experience working within Agile software development teams, including sprint planning, code reviews, release activities, and automated testing practices.

  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

It would be great if you also had...

  • Experience working with distributed engineering teams across multiple geographic locations.

  • At least 1 year of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Heroku.

  • Experience building Salesforce DX plugins and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

  • One or more Salesforce certifications, including Platform Developer I/II, JavaScript Developer I, or Salesforce Administrator.

  • Hands-on experience implementing Agent force solutions or Salesforce AI capabilities.

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

What will you be doing in this role? 

  • Develop, test, and maintain software solutions on the Salesforce platform in a 100% hands-on coding role. 

  • Help deliver a secure, performant, and maintainable product by contributing to scalable architecture and implementation practices. 

  • Plan, design, and implement software solutions that meet functional and non-functional business requirements. 

  • Work actively within an Agile, cross-functional team throughout the full software delivery lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment. 

  • Document your work and maintain quality through unit and acceptance testing. 

  • Follow and contribute to Clarivate coding standards, development processes, and industry best practices. 

  • Participate in communities of practice focused on areas such as clean code, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing. 

  • Continuously improve Agile development methods and processes together with the team, while supporting the growth of other developers.

This is a full-time, permanent position working in the CET time zone.
