As part of the Rendering Services team at HERE Technologies, you will work on the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-native services that power map rendering at a global scale. This includes both existing systems and next-generation rendering services. The team is responsible for the rendering services and supporting infrastructure that enable HERE’s industry-leading mapping and visualization solutions. • Build cloud-native applications with modern languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design efficient algorithms for optimal performance, scalability, and cost.
• Write clean, documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and stay up-to-date on tech advancements.
• Work with large-scale data and high-availability services.
• Tackle diverse technical challenges across multiple products and services.
• Collaborate with a global tech team comprising product managers, engineers, DevOps, architects, and QA.

Tech Stack:  C++, Rust, Python, Grafana, Splunk, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform

NOTE: This is an individual contributor role 

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience (C++ / Rust).
• Knowledge in algorithms and data structures.
• Proficiency in programming with C++ OR Rust, and ideally Python, or JavaScript.
• Understanding how important it is to write clean, usable, testable code.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Very good communication skills in English, both written and spoken

• Experience with API development and service design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP,  and their services.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and data processing in cloud environments.
