What you will do

Contribute to Sysdig's scale-out effort by designing and building backend features that handle increasing customer demand and data volume, reporting to Sr. Manager, Engineering.
Develop scalable APIs and services that power runtime threat detection, policy enforcement, and alerting.
Work with a team of engineers to evolve architecture for reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate with Product, Threat Research, Frontend, Design, and Customer-facing teams to create features with impact.
Handle real-time and historical security data across multi-cloud environments including Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and operational support of services your team owns.

What you will bring with you

7+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
Strong computer science fundamentals, in algorithms, data structures, systems design, and large-scale distributed systems.
Hands-on experience designing and building scalable backend services, including APIs and data processing pipelines.
Experience with Go, Java, or C++ in production environments.
Experience with containerized workloads and cloud-native infrastructure.
Experience logging best practices and emitting useful metrics for observability and troubleshooting of distributed systems.
Experience with AI tools to increase your and your team's productivity.
Experience building or operating security products is a plus.

The U.S. annual on target earnings (OTE) range for this full-time position is between 143,000 USD and 179,000 USD/year. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range based on a variety of factors, including your work location, job-related experience and education.
