We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team!

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of an advanced AI/ML-driven data science platform supporting a critical federal healthcare client. This platform will transform vast amounts of unstructured data into actionable insights, directly improving healthcare outcomes. 

As a technical leader, you'll engage in the entire software development lifecycle, from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support. You'll collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and federal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Core Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience designing and maintaining robust, scalable backend frameworks to support high-availability applications and complex business logic
  • 4+ years hands-on AWS experience, specifically:
  • ECS/Fargate (container orchestration)
  • Lambda, S3, Aurora
  • Glue, IAM
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript
• Production experience with React and NestJS
• PostgreSQL database expertise
• RESTful API design and implementation
• Terraform (infrastructure-as-code)
• Jenkins CI/CD pipeline experience

Additional Technical Skills

• Docker containerization
• Experience deploying ML models to production
• Data processing pipelines at scale
• Agile development methodologies

Nice-to-Have

• Python proficiency
• NLP techniques and computer vision libraries
• NoSQL database experience
• Healthcare analytics and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FISMA)
• Federal health agency support experience
• AWS certifications

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Location and Telework
This is a remote position. Candidates residing in the DMV area preferred.
