Job DescriptionAbout the role:
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join Sitecore's growing technology hub in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate has solid React experience, strong problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools in development. You will build high-quality features, contribute to technical discussions, and grow your expertise while integrating AI capabilities into our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and implement front-end features, including AI-powered interfaces and LLM integrations with streaming responses.
- Contribute to technical discussions on architecture, state management, performance optimization, and AI integration patterns.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming sessions, and learn from senior engineers on build tools and AI development workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Product, Backend, ML/AI, QA) to deliver high-quality features.
- Write clean, type-safe TypeScript code following best practices while utilizing AI assistants for productivity.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on development with React.js
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience using AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) and familiarity with LLM APIs.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern React patterns (hooks, composition).
- Experience with build tools (Vite, Webpack) and state management (React Query, React Context).
- Familiarity with REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid, TailwindCSS preferred).
- Understanding of UI/UX principles, web performance, and basic conversational interface concepts.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs into production applications.
- Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol), prompt engineering, or RAG patterns.
- Experience with Next.js, Remix, or React Server Components.
- Testing experience (Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright), monorepo tools, or accessibility knowledge.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Agile/Scrum, or web security fundamentals.
