Position Overview
Spend your days making a difference, not just working for a living. We do that by creating Security, Risk management, Compliance, and audit software that uncovers fraud, waste, environmental risk, and abuse in their organizations. Our collaborative R&D teams use Serverless AWS technologies to build our SaaS platform and tackle strategic business challenges, creating highly impactful solutions for today and for our future to support Modern Governance.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to apply effective analysis, design, programming, and testing skills to produce and maintain scaled SaaS software solutions. You will work as part of an established team who are used to working together to achieve excellent results. You'll have the chance to take ownership of the features you're working on, actively suggest improvements to how we design and build software, and support more junior team members by sharing your knowledge and helping the team grow and perform even better over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Deliver Solutions
Design, build, test, and maintain secure, high-performance microservices on AWS, utilizing Python and infrastructure-as-code practices with Terraform.
- Collaborative Teamwork
Work closely with fellow engineers, product managers, and DevOps to deliver features, troubleshoot issues, and contribute solutions.
- Infrastructure Automation
Author, maintain, and optimize Terraform modules to automate cloud resource provisioning and manage environments.
- Code Quality & Testing
Write well-structured, maintainable code with comprehensive automated tests for reliable deployments and robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Technical Guidance
Share technical knowledge with peers, participate in code reviews, and mentor less experienced team members in Python and Terraform.
- Continuous Improvement
Identify and address pain points in the engineering process, recommend tooling enhancements, and pilot new technologies where appropriate.
Design and develop AI libraries and frameworks to help accelerate value delivery across AI platform services.
- Documentation & Communication
Prepare clear documentation for infrastructure, APIs, and development processes. Communicate technical decisions and their business impact confidently.
Required Experience/Skills
- 5–8 years of experience building secure, scalable applications in agile environments.
- Strong proficiency in designing and developing microservices (preferably AWS serverless) using Python and Node.js.
- Hands-on expertise in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, with experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, and modern observability and monitoring tools.
- Solid understanding of security best practices in Python and Terraform implementations.
- Collaborative track record, able to work effectively alongside product, DevOps, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge-sharing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with full AI-based solution lifecycle.
