Senior Software Engineer (Payments Systems and Java Development)

About the Role: Synechron is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about development. The successful candidate will be reporting into the Manager/Head of Development.

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Languages:

• English
• (Add/Delete relevant languages: Mandarin, Arabic, French, German, Japanese, Dutch, Serbian, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage software development projects within Synechron.
• Develop, implement, and maintain software applications with a focus on payments systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and improve application performance.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to develop their technical and professional skills.

Software Requirements:

• Strong experience in software development within the payments industry.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or other relevant languages.
• Experience developing complex database environments.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Maven.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of payments systems and related technologies.
• Proficiency in software development frameworks and tools.
• Strong programming skills and experience in building scalable applications.
• Experience with Agile development methodology and software development life cycle.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery processes.

Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software applications.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Lead the development and implementation of software applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and build robust systems.
• Review code and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Mentor and coach team members on development best practices and new techniques.
• Engage in continuous learning and improvement to keep up with industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
