What you will do – Essential Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in support and enhancing our new Cloud based ERP solution and specifically the integration / enhancement layer of Financials, Order and Inventory Management. Including partnering with other technology teams, internal SMEs, and business stakeholders
- Good understanding of Cloud architecture, integrations and legacy third party systems and will be the go-to person for all new integrations, current integrations issues/changes.
- Work with fellow CarMax associates to understand the real-life process and data challenges and discover what they need to create a seamless customer experience and an efficient associate experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues in product design, product management, systems architecture, and various operational and technical teams to develop solutions and bring great ideas to life.
- Market your innovative ideas internally and evolve them according to feedback and critique within an agile environment.
- Stay on top of industry trends and best practice to continuously improve what we do and ensure our customer and associate experience is the best it can be.
- Oracle Development – this can be in the form of OIC integrations, DB Stored procedures, BIP reports, API’s, Kafka integrations, etc to help build new and support existing processes.

Qualifications and Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Functional experience with Cloud ERP systems - primarily Oracle Cloud SaaS and Oracle Integration Cloud/ATP in PaaS.
- Experience in Financial and Supply Chain Mgmt Processes is preferred (Order Mgmt, Inventory Mgmt, Costing, Procurement, etc)
- General understanding of best practice and industry standard functionalities, processes
- 2+ years of hands-on developer knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL development
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with BI Publisher
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP and SCM APIs/web services
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience managing iPaaS integration tool suites
- Experience with REST, SOAP API, and web microservices technology
- SQL language proficiency with at least one of the common database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and/or DB2 database management systems
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform utilizing modern microservices and serverless approaches is a highly desirable.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond Corp Westcreek office or Plano Tech hub and have a Hybrid work arrangement.
- Associates based in Richmond work on-site 4 days per week.
- Associates based in Plano work onsite 2 days per week.
