7-Eleven is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, AWS, and DocumentDB to join its digital transformation initiatives. This role involves building scalable RESTful APIs, cloud-native applications, and backend systems that support customer-facing and internal digital products.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of RESTful APIs using Node.js and Fastify.
Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, Kinesis, CloudWatch).
Manage and optimize NoSQL databases, especially Amazon DocumentDB and MongoDB.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and other engineers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure adherence to best practices.
Monitor application performance using tools like New Relic and AWS CloudWatch.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
- 7+ years of experience in software development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js, Fastify, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, Kinesis).
- Strong understanding of NoSQL databases, especially DocumentDB and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and DevOps principles.
- Experience with API security (OAuth, JWT).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile/SCRUM environment.
- Preferred
Preferred Experience:
Experience with POS systems, mobile applications, or customer-facing digital platforms.
Exposure to large-scale enterprise environments.
Background in mentoring and leading technical teams.
