Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and full-stack web application development. This role requires hands-on backend development along with practical frontend experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Razor Pages, and modern JavaScript frameworks. GEHRIMED currently uses Razor Pages and may also involve Vue.js or similar frontend technologies, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working across both server-side and client-side layers. Healthcare technology experience is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, Razor Pages, and SQL Server.
Develop and enhance user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Razor Pages, and Vue.js or comparable frontend frameworks when required.
Build, consume, and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
Work with SQL Server, stored procedures, and optimized queries to support application functionality and performance.
Collaborate with product managers, QA, architects, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across frontend, backend, and database layers.
Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
Write clean, efficient, secure, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Qualifications
6 to 8 years of professional software development experience, preferably in enterprise web application development.
Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and Razor Pages.
Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive web development, and browser debugging tools.
Experience with Vue.js is preferred; React, Angular, or similar frontend framework experience is also acceptable.
Strong experience with SQL Server, relational database concepts, stored procedures, and query optimization.
Experience building and consuming RESTful services and integrating frontend applications with backend APIs.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
Good understanding of web application security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Experience with Git or similar source control tools and Agile development practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
Good to Have
Healthcare IT, EHR/EMR, post-acute care, or clinical workflow domain experience.
Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 or FHIR.
Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Docker, or microservices-based architectures.
Exposure to .NET MAUI or mobile application development is a plus.
Awareness of AI/ML/GenAI concepts or experience integrating AI-powered APIs is a plus.
