About the Role
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer with deep experience in Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, cloud-native applications. This role will have significant technical ownership, contribute to architecture and engineering standards, and mentor other developers while working closely with product and platform teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET 6+/Core).
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Services, Functions, AKS, Service Bus, SQL, Storage, Key Vault).
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps; promote DevOps best practices across teams.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural guidance.
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure high standards for code quality, security, performance, reliability, and observability.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex production issues and drive root cause analysis and remediation.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers; contribute to hiring and onboarding.
- Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and delivery processes.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET).
- Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, releases, work item integration).
- Solid experience with distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (Azure SQL/SQL Server) and data access patterns (Entity Framework, Dapper).
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices (SOLID, clean architecture, automated testing, CI/CD).
- Experience leading technical initiatives or acting as a technical owner/lead on projects.
- Experience working in Agile/Kanban environments.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes).
- Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform).
- Event-driven architectures (Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs).
- Security and compliance in cloud environments (identity, secrets management, least privilege).
- Observability and monitoring (Application Insights, Azure Monitor).
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-305) a plus.
- Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus.
