CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative engineering team member who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better!
As part of the Crash and Claims group you will be a key contributor in designing and implementing new features in the Open Road mobile app and Mobile SDK of our telematics platform - DriveWell Crash. This platform saves people's lives by proactively contacting them to help and send emergency services and roadside assistance when they are involved in a car crash.
Responsibilities:
- Solve complex problems and transform them into business solutions in collaboration with team members
- Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications suitable for implementation
- Able to independently transform complex technical requirements into smaller implementable pieces; able to implement performant software solutions that are maintainable, scalable, reliable and testable
- Participate in code and design reviews
- Participate in the hiring process
- Train and guide junior developers on proper software development procedures and methods
- Follow company defined development and operational standards and processes
- Provide on-call support during business critical emergency scenarios. Support and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
- Complete any additional tasks as they arise
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant working experience
- Proficient in Swift and familiar with Objective-C programming languages, with a strong understanding of concurrency concepts
- Proficient in building iOS mobile applications or delivering Mobile SDKs
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns and data structures
- Experience with automated testing techniques (e.g. unit tests, integration tests)
- Familiarity with iOS Frameworks and development using XCode
- Experience with Git and CI/CD systems, particular plus if familiar with Bitrise
- Solid knowledge of Cocoapods or Swift Package Manager
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies (specifically SCRUM)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Customer obsessed, demonstrates initiative, has a learning mindset, takes ownership
- Proven ability to deliver results
- An analytical mindset
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience adhering to official UX design guidelines from Apple and Google
- Experience developing and delivering SDKs
- Experience working with mobile sensors and location services
- User level knowledge of issue tracking systems (specifically Jira, Mavenlink)
- Knowledge of iOS development
- Experience with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
- Investigation and issue analysis from logs: Cloudwatch
- Instrumentation and correlation tracking/statistics with Datadog
