Senior Software Engineer - Machine Learning

Exiting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI/ML Team to develop AI applications and services across Disney segments. The team plays a critical role in managing the product development of AI and ML products across the company. Stakeholders can be found across the company, meeting with and understanding of the stakeholders needs is important for this team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for various applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions.
- Optimize and maintain machine learning pipelines and workflows.
- Conduct research and stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI.
Qualifications:
- Python: Proficiency in AI development using libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Machine Learning: Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Knowledge of NLP techniques such as tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, named entity recognition, and sentiment analysis.
- Computer Vision: Experience with image and video processing, object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
- Deep Learning: Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras, and experience with convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and generative models.
- Vector DBs: Knowledge of vector space models, such as Word2Vec, GloVe, and FastText, and experience with indexing and querying large-scale vector databases.
- Sentence Transformers: Familiarity with transformer-based models for NLP tasks, such as BERT, RoBERTa, and DistilBERT.
- Reinforcement Learning: Understanding of reinforcement learning algorithms, such as Q-learning, SARSA, and deep reinforcement learning.
- Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and knowledge of cloud-based AI services such as Amazon SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, and Google Cloud AI Platform.
- Data Engineering: Experience with data pipelines, data warehousing, and data visualization tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, and Tableau.
Experience & Education:
- • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $142,600 to $191,100 and in Burbank, CA $136,038 to $182,490. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
