Responsibilities:
- DTEX is seeking a talented and skilled Software Engineer focused on developing systems software and applications on Linux platforms.
- Design, develop, test, document and maintain software modules running on Linux platforms.
- Work with other teams to develop new features and integrations between the various software components that comprise of the DTEX solution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related Eng or Science fields
- 5+ years of experience in relevant roles
- Strong skills with developing low level systems software on Linux platforms
- Very good knowledge of Linux platform architecture and internals.
- Very good knowledge of Linux administration skills
- Strong skills in C, C++, and Linux Shell scripting
- Knowledge of STL, containers, iterators, and other mainstream C++ language facilities
- Knowledge of general OS internals such as kernel mode and user mode, device drivers, filesystems, networking concepts, process and application management, security and access control
- Experience with performance tracing and measurement is beneficial (SystemTap, eBPF, kprobes, tracepoints, etc.)
- Knowledge of developing device drivers and kernel modules
- Knowledge of databases, cryptography, and troubleshooting in a Linux environment
- Knowledge of Linux package management tools and concepts
- Familiarity with modern tools and workflows (g++, gnu make, git, Jira, etc.)
