Senior Software Engineer - Java, React & AWS

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication with client project stakeholders regarding project status and recommendations.
• Craft client code that is not just efficient, but also performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.
• Actively participate in accurate planning and estimation efforts, utilizing project methods and tools.
• Proficiently gather requirements and organize/present developed features for clients.
• Execute complex activities within the current methodology and quality standards, showcasing success across diverse engagements.
• Promote client success across the team by collaborating with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points, anticipate potential problems, and iterate on solutions that drive client success.
• Engage in agile software development, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and other governance activities.
• Independently drive project delivery within defined architecture, demonstrating autonomy and accountability in all stages from conceptualization to deployment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience working on a team and delivering a product you are proud of.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in React with TypeScript (or similar).
• At least 5 years of experience in Java (SpringBoot, JUnit, Gradle, other open source libraries).
• Over 5 years of professional experience building web applications in an Agile/Scrum environment and deploying in the cloud (AWS preferred).
• The ability to lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions.
• A knack for writing understandable, testable, and maintainable code.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other developers.
• Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
• A strong understanding of testing and the test pyramid, as well as pipelines and feedback loops, with a focus on quality delivery (JUnit, Mockito).
• Proficiency in the English language.
