Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our Solution Development team and take part in developing fast-growing products.

What you'll do:

Reporting into Lead Software Engineer & Technical Architect, you will be an important part of the main team and will participate in both supporting existing applications and creation of new ones. Delivering the products on high quality by meeting all functional and non-functional requirements by:

  • Develop of scalable and easily maintainable Java applications.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and related artefacts.
  • Integrate the products with other Experian and external products and frameworks.
  • Produce unit tests and maintaining excellent code quality.
  • Strictly follow Experian's Coding Standards and procedures for development, continuous integration and delivery.
  • Strictly follow Team Norms.
  • Work in distributed multi culture environment.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Conduct code reviews and approve pull requests.
  • Support the onboarding process of new team members.
  • Participate in Team and Department improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Around 7 years' professional experience with Java
  • Experience with OOP concepts and expertise with design patterns and architectures with Java.
  • Excellent understanding and expertise in Lambdas, Functional Interfaces and Streams.
  • Experience with Servlets and the Spring framework.
  • Experience with database (JDBC) and knowledge of relational database concepts.
  • Experience with Web Services: SOAP & REST
  • Experience developing Microservices
  • Experience in the development and use of Unit Tests
  • Very good understanding of software design and architecture including practical experience applying design principals and drawing architecture diagrams
  • Excellent understanding and use of Git
  • Experience with Java Platform Module System and practical experience
  • Experience with at least one Application Server - Apache Tomcat, Jetty, RedHat, or JBoss.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (Amazon EKS)
  • Practical experience the development of enterprise applications
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • Experience working with cross-region virtual teams.
