Senior Software Engineer - Java

Squarespace Payments elevates our merchants and allows them to focus on building their brand by having their payments processed with little headache.

The Payments Risk & Fraud team is in charge of building features to keep our customers' finances safe, helping them build trust with their customers.

This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin office 3 days per week. You will report to the Engineering Team Manager for Payments Risk & Fraud. 

You Will

• Build a payments risk platform.
• Protect the finances of hundreds of thousands of businesses and their customers.
• Work with world class Senior and Staff engineers.
• Shape the architecture and guiding principles of our commerce platform.
• Mentor engineers to develop their skills in software development and payments.

Who You Are

• 7+ years of experience in the software industry
• Experience in the risk space (e.g. trading, gambling, payments).
• Experience coaching senior engineers with diverse specialties.
• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners in simple terms to people without a technical background..
• Grasp of engineering practices like API designs, automated testing, documentation, architectural diagramming, and code reviews.
