What will you be doing?
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Java Backend Engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Java applications. You will be responsible for all stages of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code using Java and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure quality deliverables.
- Debug and resolve technical issues reported in production and testing environments.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in development processes and practices.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java (Java 8 or above).
- Strong knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate / JPA.
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting for automation or data tasks.
- Proficiency in Shell scripting for automation or server-side operations.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, CI/CD with Jenkin pipeline
- Solid understanding of OOP, multithreading, data structures, and design patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle or other RDBMS.
- Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and version control (Git).
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Good knowledge of unit testing (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
- Cloud exposure is a plus
