The Role 

As a Senior Software Engineer play a critical role in developing and improving the existing products using a variety of state-of-the-art technologies. You will work closely within the development department to foster a culture of agility and continuous improvement. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide architectural guidance to three cross-functional agile teams across locations in Germany and Romania, ensuring alignment on technical strategies and best practices (in line with the architecture board).
• Drive the development efforts to transform our application architecture into a modern cloud-ready solution, emphasizing scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product management to conceive the technical design, functionally enhance our product, and continuously contribute to system optimization.
• Act as a key technical advisor to stakeholders, incl., cloud operations, professional services, and customer service, providing expertise in software solutions and troubleshooting.
• Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and engineering trends, especially when it comes to hyper-scalers and user interface, to inform product development strategies and enhance software quality and efficiency.

Key Requirements:

Must-have

• Bachelor’s or Master's in Computer Science, or a related field
• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, preferably in developing product lines
• 3+ years of professional experience in a role with significant impact on a software product’s architecture
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing Cloud-native applications based on robust API design principles
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing solutions based on Java and Spring Boot, or Flutter/Dart
• Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain software solutions that enhance user experience and deliver measurable business value
• Exhibit a proactive approach in identifying and pursuing valuable opportunities for innovation and improvement, while demonstrating leadership capabilities to guide teams towards successful execution
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Great-to-have

• Experience with Eclipse OSGi or other modularization frameworks is highly desirable. Proficiency in building communication channels using gRPC, and other relevant technologies
• Expertise in Micro-service architectures
• Knowledge in German
