Clari's Infrastructure team builds systems and tools to enable engineering velocity in a reliable manner. We partner with our global engineering teams to establish standards and improve reliability and cost-efficiency. This is a great opportunity to make a massive impact scaling cloud infrastructure to meet the high demand and rapid growth of both users and workloads.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to define and design solutions for Clari to meet our business needs for availability, performance, and reliability. You will be responsible for building and managing critical third-party services in our software stack, influencing system design, building fault tolerance and disaster recovery capabilities, optimizing systems to improve efficiency. You will set technical direction and lead implementation of integrating these services to solve large-scale problems, and ensure problem-free, reliable and efficient functioning of these components. Our teams are empowered and expected to help realize Clari's vision via active development and collaboration with our engineering partners.
This is a hybrid position, which will require the ability to be onsite in our Kraków, Poland office as needed. Candidates must be based in Poland.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of third-party services such as Kafka, Redis, OpenSearch, focusing on ensuring high availability, resilience and performance
- Participate in design and implementation phases with application development teams to identify and implement best solutions available
- Promote and ensure the responsible, cost-efficient utilization of services
- Drive product maturity through monitoring, proactive alerting, capacity management and auto-healing
- Contribute back to the community with features, improvements and fixes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience building distributed systems on a public cloud (AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform or other similar tools
- Experience with running OSS distributed software (e.g. ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Kafka, Mongo) in public cloud environments on Kubernetes
- Experience designing and architecting complex, large-scale, mission-critical products that drive significant business impact
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
