Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead software product teams to design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-quality healthcare solutions
  • Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using Java, and Spring Boot on Azure
  • Remain technical and hands-on across architecture/design, coding, and automation testing
  • Engineer database-driven applications leveraging SQL and NoSQL data stores
  • Be jointly accountable for end-to-end product quality, from design through operations
  • Practice and reinforce Agile methodologies; contribute to stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and quality, approaching new strategies with a positive, proactive mindset
  • Provide technical support and mentoring, enabling teams to efficiently resolve issues
  • Build applications and components in an Agile, incremental delivery model
  • Integrate custom-built solutions with commercial and open-source platforms
  • Ensure peer reviews and automated testing are standard practice to maintain high code quality
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders; adapt rapidly to evolving tools and technologies
  • Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams; mentor and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Work closely with Product Management and stakeholders to shape product direction and solution architecture
  • Apply modern technologies to address complex industry challenges in healthcare
  • Maintain team commitment to priorities; reinforce a positive team spirit
  • Continuously upskill, staying current with evolving tech stacks via training and self-learning
  • Enforce development and security standards across the codebase and pipelines
  • Proactively remove technology blockers across code, infrastructure, build, deployment, and operations to sustain delivery flow
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • B.E. / B. Tech / MCA / M. Tech or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (16+ years of formal education; correspondence courses not considered)
  • Technical experience:
    • 10+ years in the software engineering profession across entire SDLC
    • 8+ years of prior hands-on experience in Java, Sprint Boot, Redux, Javascript, Html, python and Microservices
    • 8+ years in API and microservices development
    • 4+ years working with containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
    • Hands-on experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka
    • Solid experience with RDBMS and modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server)
    • Full-stack Java development experience, including containers, Kafka, and cloud environments
    • Development experience in Agile methodologies
    • Solid background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
    • Proficiency in DevOps practices and automated testing frameworks
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk
    • Testing and quality assurance: Knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, or Selenium for writing and executing tests, as well as understanding the importance of code quality and test coverage
  • AI-Driven Development:
    • Proficiency with AI-powered coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, Google Duet AI)
    • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into the SDLC to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance delivery velocity
    • Proven track record of leveraging AI for faster iteration, reducing manual effort, and boosting engineering productivity
    • Proven debugging and problem-solving skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug code, identify and fix issues, and find solutions to problems
    • Proven collaboration and communication: Proven ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders
    • Proven continuous learning mindset: Proven eagerness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and best practices, as well as staying updated with the latest trends in software development
    • Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills: Proven ability to analyze problems, break them down into smaller tasks, and come up with effective solutions
    • Proven attention to detail: Paying close attention to details, writing clean and maintainable code, and following coding standards and best practices
    • Proven self-motivation and proactiveness: Taking initiative, being self-driven, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve skills and contribute to the team's success
