Senior Software Engineer II (Fullstack Engineer)

ABOUT THE ROLE 

In this role as Fullstack Engineer II you will be working closely with other people in the teams to provide architectural vision and strategy for GFG’s internal tools suite, and you will have the capability to provide detailed technical guidance to the team, enabling them to execute more effectively and deliver products on time. 

You will also investigate the latest technologies to improve site reliability, the developer experience and raw performance. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Work in an agile environment to develop a best-in-market experience.
• Write and maintain clean and well-tested code
• Work on distributed systems at scale with high traffic workloads
• Collaborate with other software engineers and stakeholders in your team to build and maintain APIs in our microservices architecture 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in #backend or
  #full-stack development.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, client-server architecture, and high-traffic applications.
• Solid foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Java, Golang, Python, PHP, or similar.
• Hands-on experience designing and building #RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and writing automated tests.
• Good understanding of software development best practices, including code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-based environment.

Nice to Have

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and JVM-based applications.
• Familiarity with JVM performance profiling, monitoring, and tuning.
• Experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, React Hooks, and modern frontend development.
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimization such as memoization, lazy loading, suspense, or similar techniques.
• Experience with state management and component testing in React applications.
• Experience working in #e-commerce, marketplace, fintech, or other high-traffic product environments.
