Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure and high-performing backend services using java (8+) and Spring Boot
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate with various frontend applications and third-party systems
  • Optimize database queries, schema designs, and overall backend performance using SQL and NoSQL database solutions (e.g., MySQL and Dynamo DB)
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
  • Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation
  • Implement automated testing suites, including unit and integration tests, using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito and Spock to ensure code quality
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and code reviews, to collaborate effectively with global team members
  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to automate application deployment and continuous integration
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks and system bugs in production and non-production environments
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using Java (Java 8 or higher)
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot
  • 3+ years of experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and writing optimized SQL queries
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • 1+ years of experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
  • Solid hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito or Spock

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specific degree desired: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (not required to apply)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with message brokers (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar developer productivity tools) to optimize development workflows
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and security compliance (e.g., OWASP top 10)
