Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Senior Cloud Engineer / Technical Lead on an Agile Scrum team, delivering secure, scalable, and compliant cloud native solutions for PPS applications
- Partner closely with Product Management and business stakeholders to support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and translation of regulatory and business requirements into technical designs
- Lead development and deployment of containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including configuration, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Design and manage database schemas and data access layers (Azure SQL and related services), with a focus on data integrity, performance, and regulatory accuracy
- Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions, enabling automated testing and reliable cloud deployments
- Apply strong focus on cloud security, compliance, monitoring, cost optimization, and operational readiness, critical for PPS regulatory systems
- Mentor and guide junior and mid level engineers, providing code reviews, design guidance, and best practice coaching
- Independently solve complex technical and production issues, making sound architectural decisions and proactively mitigating risks
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Solid hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining cloud native applications on Microsoft Azure
- Solid hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including containerized application deployment, scaling, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Solid experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes based orchestration
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions, including deployments to AKS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform, especially for Azure and AKS environments
- Expertise with Java, Azure PaaS services, RESTful APIs, and SQL
- Proficiency in leveraging AI and automation capabilities, including Azure OpenAI Services, AI Builder, Python, and related tools to enhance development productivity, analytics, and solution intelligence
- Solid understanding of Azure security, networking, monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management, including AKS best practices
- Demonstrated solid analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Demonstrated growth mindset, with willingness to adopt emerging Azure and AI technologies to improve engineering efficiency and product quality
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions
- Demonstrated ability to perform and guide functional, regression, and system integration testing
